Meet us!
Corinne Seeholzer
Owner and Manager of McTot's
From the birth of my first son Yves in 2003, my life changed totally and children became the very important part of my life.
When my son was eighteen month old I searched a place where he could grow and develop in a fun and structured way with other children whilst also providing a few hours of breathing space for myself. I wanted a playgroup where children enjoyed attending and parents felt secure knowing that they are in capable and kind hands and that's when I found McTot's.. That was a few years ago and my second son Lucien is now still an active member.
By taking over the McTot's English speaking Play Club in October 2009 I would like to offer other children and their parents the same happy and positive experiences that my sons had and still have by attending our playgroup.
As I have been with McTot's from almost the very beginning, I know and understand both the playgroup history and the Anglo-Saxon culture. Although my role is more in the background, managing the administrative and business side of McTot’s, of course, you will still see me regularly at McTot’s.
By way of introduction, I was born in Zürich and live here with my husband and our three boys (born 2003, 2005 and 2009). I lived in Milan for ten years and studied at the Academy of Arts Brera, and afterwards worked as a drawing teacher at the University for Architects (ETH ). I hope that my experience as both a mum and a teacher, along with my multicultural background, will help me to make a positive contribution to McTot’s.

I moved from England to Switzerland 18 years ago, and
I live in Zürich with my 3 children, Jack 17, Martha 15, and
Gregory who is 12. I have always actively participated in playgroups,
kindergartens and schools here in Switzerland and also in Auckland,
New Zealand where we lived for 2 years. I have enjoyed many varied
activities from arts and crafts, to literacy skills in the classroom.
Bringing up my children away from family and friends, I understand the importance
of finding a friendly, familiar and creative environment for your child, especially
during the early years. McTot's has the perfect atmosphere for little ones to
enjoy creative play with songs and other activities. Together with the rest of
the team, I look forward to helping your child to thoroughly enjoy their time
at McTot's.

I am originally from the south east of England, but I am half
Scottish. I moved to Zürich four years ago to join my husband who had
just accepted a permanent job here. I had spent the previous 18 months visiting
most weekends and really loved it, so it was an easy decision to relocate.
In England, I spent 20 years working as a hairdresser, specialising amongst
other things - in cutting children's hair. For the last 10 years I worked
for myself which was very enjoyable because I had the opportunity to meet
lots of new families.
I have always enjoyed being with children, and before joining McTot's, I
was working at another English speaking play group in Zürich. I found
it to be a wonderful experience because I was lucky enough to have the opportunity
of helping with the children’s development through play, crafts and
story telling. I look forward to meeting you all and to being part of the
'Mc Tots' team.

I am originally from South Africa and moved to Switzerland
in April 2009 with my husband when he accepted a permanent position
here. In addition
to my B.Ed degree in teaching kindergarten and primary school
I also have a TEFL qualification (Teaching English as a foreign language).
I have specialized
in teaching Arts and Culture and enjoy using arts, crafts, music
and movement in my teaching. In South Africa I taught Grade One and I love working with the little
ones during these exciting and important first years of school. Here in
Switzerland I have recently started teaching English as a second language
to Swiss children as well as beginner reading and writing courses for children
who speak English as a first language. I understand the importance of children
learning through play in a relaxed atmosphere and will strive to ensure
that your child enjoys his or her time with us at McTots.

I moved to Switzerland from the UK nearly 3 years ago with my husband, initally living in Vevey before moving to Zurich in August 2009. I have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Joint Honours degree in English and Music, two subjects which I am very passionate about. I hope to be able to use my knowledge of both subjects as sources of inspiration when working with young children.
During my education I had some wonderful teachers who inspired and encouraged me. These memories are still with me now and
I hope that I can pass on this enthusiasm for learning as part of the team at McTot's. I look forward to meeting you and your child at McTot's!

I am originally from Sydney, Australia but lived in the UK for many years before relocating to Zurich in September 2009 to be with my girlfriend, grabbing the chance to live in a different culture and environment. I am a writer and journalist by trade and will be working on various writing projects alongside this wonderful part-time role with McTot’s. In addition, I am considering a qualification education and believe this position will be an enlightening and enjoyable experience.
I have been a musician for eleven years and play four instruments. I look forward to helping the children at McTot’s gain understanding and fun out of music and provide, if you’ll forgive the pun, another string to McTot’s bow.
